Lyzette Turner works directly with families to enable their student access to appropriate services, and supports in their educational setting.

About

Lyzette represents clients during school meetings for eligibility, IEP and Section 504 development, progress review, transitions, and mediation.

Lyzette holds a BA (Hons) German and Italian from the University of Exeter. She completed COPAA’s Special Education Advocate Training Program, and is a Certified Paralegal (CP) (2021) through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). She is further pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), at the Open University and is expected to graduate in 2028. She regularly supports attorneys with litigation-related work as part of the firm’s collaborative team.

In her advocacy, Lyzette prioritizes collaboration, accountability, and documentation. Her aim is to promote wider understanding of disabled students’ educational needs and ensure that all students receive equitable access to the classroom. She values being part of a team that advocates for students’ access to public education in ways that reflect their unique needs and provides the tools that they need to succeed.
